Bryn Mawr Design Works is a small studio on the Main Line. We plan the inside and the outside of a house together, so the view from the kitchen window is part of the kitchen.

Process

How a project runs

  1. 01

    Walk-through

    We visit, look at the house and grounds with you, and talk through how you live and what you'd like to change.

  2. 02

    Concept

    You see layouts, materials and planting ideas side by side, with a budget range for each direction.

  3. 03

    Drawings

    We turn the chosen direction into detailed plans and a full list of selections that contractors can price and build.

  4. 04

    Installation

    We coordinate trades, deliveries and planting, and stay on the job until the last piece is in place.

The whole picture, down to the last detail.

We design a home as a whole. Rooms, sightlines, materials and planting are worked out together, so each decision supports the next and the house reads as one considered place instead of a series of separate projects.

That vision only holds up in the details: how a cabinet door sits in its frame, the finish on a piece of hardware, where a light falls on a counter, the line a path takes to the front door. We settle these early and follow each one through to installation.
